  • In February 2010, there were 10,752,800 people of working age (15 years and over) in Ontario.
  • There were 7,219,600 people in Ontario’s labour force according to Statistics Canada’s Labour Force Survey for February 2010. Thus, 67.1% of Ontario’s working age population was either employed or actively seeking employment. This percentage is also known as the labour force participation rate.
  • As of February 2010, there were 6,564,800 people working in Ontario, 81.1% of them full time.
