Mineral development projects which will be subject to several pieces of legislation and regulations, or to one or more environmental assessments, will benefit from the 'One Window' Coordination Process (OWP).  Under OWP, MNDMF will co-ordinate other provincial regulators and, possibly federal regulators, to assist the proponent to bring their project into production.

Project Definition Template (Word format)

The Project Definition Template is a clear outline of what information proponents should collect at the early stage of project planning in order to maximize the amount of advice that regulators can provide them. This will result in speedier and more effective delivery of regulatory advice and, thus, of permits and approvals.

Proponents are advised to complete this template upon commencement of a mineral development project and to discuss them as they do so with Ministry’s Mineral Development Officers.
