Community Groups

Get to know new people who share the same interests as you. Contact your local Community Information Centre (CIC) for information on groups in your area.

The Royal Canadian Legion

The Ontario Command branches of The Royal Canadian Legion run various programs offering opportunities for social interaction.

Ontario Seniors' Organizations

The Ontario Seniors' Secretariat develops and supports government initiatives which improve the quality of life of Ontario's seniors. Also, the Secretariat undertakes and supports public education efforts for and about seniors. You can locate seniors' organizations by clicking the link below.

Awards for Seniors

The Senior Achievement Award is given to recognize seniors who make major contributions to their community. The Senior of the Year Award recognizes the achievements of one outstanding local senior in the different municipalities across the province. The Ontario Volunteer Service Awards has a category for 50 years of continuous service
