To Register a Financing Statement or Claim for Lien and pay by a major credit card you will be required to establish a Web Account. In order to establish a Web Account your identity must be authenticated. To be authenticated, you will be required to provide consumer credit information about yourself to a third party system (i.e. not a Government of Ontario system). This system is operated by Equifax Canada Inc., a registered Consumer Reporting Agency in Ontario. This service is provided under contractual agreement with the Ministry of Government Services. Business clients wanting to create a Web Account must complete and send both application forms, contained in the link below, to the Companies and Personal Property Security Branch for approval, accompanied by a cheque payable to Minister of Finance for the amount specified in the Deposit Account Application Form.
Once the web account applications are processed, you will receive by mail your “Welcome Package” for PPSR WEB access.
Your “Welcome Package” will include your PPSR User ID, password, account number, sub-account number and either an enquiry code for lien searches, or a registration code for registering a security interest / lien on the internet, or both, depending on your requirements.
Please note that you must execute the Direct Access Agreement enclosed in your “Welcome Package” in order to activate your WEB account.

To set up your Web Account, have your PPSR User ID, password and enquiry account information (account number, sub-account number and account code) ready and follow the instructions below.
