Personal Property Security/Liens

What fees does the Companies and Personal Property Security Branch (CPPSB) charge?

Registrations

For a new registration or renewal of a financing statement or financing change statement under the Personal Property Security Act:

• For 1 to 25 years $8.00 per year
• For a perpetual period $500.00

For a new registration or renewal of a claim for a lien or change statement under the Repair and Storage Liens Act:

• For 1 to 3 years $8.00 per year

For amendments (with the exception of renewals and discharges) the fee is $12.00.
There is no fee for discharges.

Searches

For verbal/printed response $8.00
For a certificate response $8.00
Administrative fee for searches ordered by telephone over and above the search fee $2.00

Central Office Documents

Central Office statements include:

• financing statements
• claims for liens
• financing change statements
• change statements

For a production (retrieval) and copy of a central office statement $14.00
For a certified copy of a Financing statement (fee includes production and copying) $15.00

Corporation Securities Registration Act (CSRA) Registration

For inspection of a document registered under the CSRA $12.00
For a copy of a document registered under the CSRA $1.00 per page
For certification of a copy of a document registered under the CSRA $23.00

NOTE: CPPSB IS REQUIRED TO CHARGE A FEE OF $35.00 FOR ALL CHEQUES RETURNED BY THE BANK AS NOT-NEGOTIABLE.
