1. What abstracts are available through this online service?

  • Three-year driver abstract (uncertified)
  • Vehicle abstract (uncertified)
  • Vehicle history
  • Vehicle identification number search by date
  • Plate search - current owner
  • Plate history
  • Plate search by date

2. What do I need to order driver or vehicle abstracts?

You will need your driver's licence number or registrant identification number.

If you want to purchase a vehicle abstract, you will need the vehicle identification number of the vehicle you are enquiring about.

If you want to purchase a plate-type vehicle abstract you will need the licence plate number of the plate you are enquiring about.

If you want to purchase a driver abstract, you will need the driver's licence number for the individual you are enquiring about.

You will need Adobe Reader to access your abstract(s). Download a free version of Adobe Reader.

3. When will I get my abstract(s)?
Your abstract will be available at the end of the transaction. The abstract will be in PDF format and you need Adobe Reader on your computer to access the document. Download a free version of Adobe Reader.

4. I recently purchased an abstract over the Internet and realized some of the information is not correct. What can I do?

6. Why is address information not available in driver and vehicle abstracts?

Residential addresses are suppressed in order to protect the personal privacy of individuals.

7. How many abstracts can I order at one time?

You can request up to five abstracts of the same type in one transaction.

8. What can I do if my request for an abstract was unsuccessful?

You can try again later or visit any Driver and Vehicle Licence Issuing Office.

9. Can I have my abstracts mailed to me?

No, your abstracts will be available electronically at the end of the transaction and nothing will be mailed to you.
