Basic Information

You are required by law to notify the Ministry of Natural Resources within ten days of any change of address during the period in which your Outdoors Card is valid.

Changing your address online is a quick, convenient and secure way to advise the Ministry of Natural Resources that your address information has changed.

There is no charge for this service.

Please note that if you have the fishing version of the Outdoors Card and your new address is outside Ontario you must use the Ministry of Natural Resources-specific address change service. If you have the hunting/fishing version of the Outdoors Card and your new address is outside Ontario, please contact the Outdoors Card Centre (see "How to Contact Us" below).

Other Address Change Options

If you do not wish to change your address using this service, the following options are available:

  • The staff at the Ministry of Natural Resources Outdoors Card Centre would be pleased to update your address or provide information on alternative methods. You may reach the Outdoors Card Centre without charge from anywhere in Canada by calling: 1-800-387-7011. The hours of operation are from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Eastern Time), Monday to Friday.
  • You may visit any of the ServiceOntario Kiosks. They are similar to automated teller machines and provide extended hours of service seven days a week. You will need to bring your Outdoors Card.

What You Will Need to Change Your Address

Before you change your address online, you will need:

  • Your 15-digit Outdoors Card Number. This number begins with 708158. You only need to enter the last nine digits of your Outdoors Card number. Do not enter the two-digit expiry date that appears at the far right side of your Outdoors Card.

  • Your date of birth. This will help ensure that the privacy of your personal information is protected and that only those authorized will be able to change your address.

If I Update My Address Information Using this Online Form, Will I Be Notified of the Change?

The Confirmation page and Transaction Number issued at the end of the transaction is your notification that the Ministry of Natural Resources has updated your Outdoors Card file. A new Outdoors Card will not be issued to you.
