Overview

The Intergovernmental Affairs Division supports the Minister, Premier and other ministries in advancing Ontario’s intergovernmental and international priorities. Key responsibilities:

• Provides strategic advice and analysis on matters of intergovernmental relations, international affairs and protocol, as well as democratic institutions of government
• Works to enhance interministerial collaboration and play a key role in the advancement of Ontario’s intergovernmental priorities
• Supports the Premier and Minister in providing leadership in the Canadian federation and enhancing Ontario’s international image and profile
• Leads the development of the overall intergovernmental strategy to support ministries in the advancement of the intergovernmental elements of the government’s key policy initiatives.
