Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh visited Toronto and Kitchener-Waterloo from July 4 to 6, 2010.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness visited a number of events and locations throughout Toronto and in Kitchener-Waterloo.
Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Duke of Edinburgh arrive in Ontario Saturday night. They are greeted by Premier Dalton McGuinty and other dignitaries.
Cathedral Church of St. James
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness attend the Cathedral Church of St. James for Sunday morning church services. The Queen presents two sets of hand bells to representatives from Her Majesty’s Chapel Royal of the Mohawks and unveils a plaque to mark the reopening of St. Georges’ Chapel.
Running of the Queen’s Plate, Woodbine Racetrack
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness are guests of honour at the running of the 151st Queen’s Plate. Her Majesty makes the presentation to the winning owner and jockey.
Research In Motion
The tour to Research In Motion showcases this pioneer of mobile technology and highlights made-in-Ontario talent and innovation. It provides The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh an opportunity to meet Research In Motion leaders and to learn more about the design and technology of the BlackBerry.

The Queen was given the most recent BlackBerry model that included a special gift -- a photo of school children from Queen Elizabeth Public School in Kitchener.
Pinewood Toronto Studios
At Pinewood Toronto Studios, Her Majesty and His Royal Highness get a first-hand glimpse into film production, set creation and technology advancements, including 3D animation. The Premier hosts a luncheon at Pinewood Toronto Studios in honour of Her Majesty and His Royal Highness.
Queen’s Park
The reception celebrates service to community and country by honouring some of the many men and women who represent Ontario’s caring and diverse society. Her Majesty unveils a special plaque commemorating the 150th anniversary of the dedication of Queen’s Park in 1860 by her great grandfather The Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII.
