Canadians will celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s 60-year reign in 2012.
Ontario will mark this milestone by honouring Her Majesty’s lifetime of service and recognizing the contributions of our citizens.
There are several opportunities to celebrate.
In May 2012, Ontario will welcome Their Royal Highnesses The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall to Ontario. The Royal couple will also travel to New Brunswick and Saskatchewan.
The tour will be a highlight of Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
The Ontario elements of the tour will be coordinated in co-operation with the Department of Canadian Heritage. A detailed itinerary will be published in the coming weeks.
