Overview

This survey gathered provincewide data and information on the perspectives, hunting styles and economic contributions of wild turkey hunters in Ontario.

This voluntary survey differs from the mandatory hunter reporting requirement that is associated with a turkey tag.

By completing this survey, you provided information on your wild turkey hunting activity in 2021, including:

  • hunting activity, such as how and where you hunted
  • your satisfaction with turkey hunting
  • the importance of turkey hunting to you
  • how much money you spent to prepare for and hunt wild turkey in Ontario

This survey does not mean that we are planning any further changes to wild turkey hunting regulations at this time. However, responses may help inform future proposed changes and can help us better understand the contributions that hunters make to Ontario’s economy.

Who can take the survey

Only people who received a survey invitation by mail were asked to complete this voluntary survey.
