Entrepreneurs are no doubt familiar with Dragons’ Den, one of the CBC’s most popular shows. Its premise is simple. An entrepreneur approaches a panel of business experts (the “dragons”), delivers an elevator pitch for a new invention, and provides a reason that the dragons should invest.
As I’ve learned, the hard and fast ‘no’ is actually a minor victory. Even though they aren’t prepared to invest today, it doesn’t mean that that will remain the case.
