Companies Service Standards and Fees As of October, 2006

Please note that service times are subject to change.

Corporate Filing Services

Business Corporations Act (for profit)

Please allow 2-4 weeks for review by mail to the Companies and Personal Property Security Branch (CPPSB) for the following services:

There is a multiple transactions special service fee of $25 in addition to the filing fee for each transaction over three, when filing more than three over-the-counter Business Corporation Act documents. This service is by appointment only.

Incorporation
$360 for immediate over-the-counter service or mailed-in service
$300 for immediate service through the *Service Providers

Corporations Act (Not-For-Profit)

Please allow 7 working days, from the date of receipt, for review by mail to CPPSB for the following service:

** Expedited Letters Patent (Incorporation only)
$255 for mailed-in service

Please allow 6 - 8 weeks for review by mail for the following services:

Incorporation/Amalgamation/Continuation
$155 for mailed-in service

Corporations Information Act

Please allow 25 working days for processing by mail for the following services:

Initial Return/Notice of Change (Form 1 - Ontario Corporations)
No fee for mailed-in service
No statutory fee for immediate service through the *Service Providers.

Payment Information

Payments to the Branch may be made by cash, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Interac, certified cheque, money order or personal cheque payable to the Minister of Finance. Personal cheques must include pre-printed name, address, bank transit number and account number on the front of the cheque. Please do not send cash in the mail. You cannot pay by Visa, MasterCard or AMEX when using the mailed-in service.

The Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) does not apply to government fees.

N.B. A $35.00 fee will be charged for any cheque returned as non-negotiable.

This schedule only displays the Ministry's fees. Please contact the Service Providers directly for information about the fees they charge for the immediate online service they provide.

**Expedited Service

The expedited service fee is for the review of articles/applications within the specific service time. When documents are deficient, they will be returned to the client for amendment and the expedite service time no longer applies.
