Companies Service Standards and Fees As of October, 2006

Please note that service times are subject to change.

Business Corporations Act (for profit)

Please allow 2-4 weeks for review by mail to the Companies and Personal Property Security Branch (CPPSB) for the following services:

There is a multiple transactions special service fee of $25 in addition to the filing fee for each transaction over three, when filing more than three over-the-counter Business Corporation Act documents. This service is by appointment only.

Dissolution
$25 for immediate over-the-counter service or mailed-in service

Revival
$330 for immediate over-the-counter service or mailed-in service

Winding-up (first filing)
$25 for mailed-in service

Corporations Act (Not-For-Profit)

Please allow 6 - 8 weeks for review by mail for the following services:

Surrender of Charter
No fee for mailed-in service

Please allow 2 - 4 weeks for processing by mail for the following service:

Revival
$100 for immediate over-the-counter service or mailed-in service

Payment Information

Payments to the Branch may be made by cash, Visa, MasterCard, AMEX, Interac, certified cheque, money order or personal cheque payable to the Minister of Finance. Personal cheques must include pre-printed name, address, bank transit number and account number on the front of the cheque. Please do not send cash in the mail. You cannot pay by Visa, MasterCard or AMEX when using the mailed-in service.

The Federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) does not apply to government fees.

N.B. A $35.00 fee will be charged for any cheque returned as non-negotiable.
