The Government of Ontario is organizing an Advanced Manufacturing Export Business Mission to India.
India is striving to become a global manufacturing hub and spearheading growth by sourcing Industry 4.0 technologies from local and international companies, including advanced analytics, big data, automation, robotics, artificial intelligence, and IoT. The strategy reflects its longstanding ‘Make in India’ policy of promoting domestic manufacturing and production, including through comprehensive incentive programs. The overall manufacturing sector has the potential to reach C$1.3 trillion by 2025.
Mission delegates will participate in a road show to Mumbai and Pune focused on advanced manufacturing, particularly robotics and automation technologies. The event will include a visit to the 17th edition of Automation Expo India, which sees visitors from the automotive, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, food and beverage, chemicals, metals, energy and utilities, paper and textiles industries, among others. Automation Expo is one of Asia's leading automation and instrumentation trade shows, including 50,000 visitors and 1,000 exhibitors. However, the mission will not include an Ontario booth with dedicated exhibitor space.

The mission registration fee is to be confirmed. In addition, participating Ontario companies must cover the cost of their flights, accommodation, some local transportation and meals. Delegates may wish to explore the federal government's CanExport funding program to support their international business activities.
