SPECIAL PAYMENTS FOR PHYSICIAN SERVICES

Special payment
1. (1) A special payment is payable by the Plan to every physician in Ontario who,
(a) rendered one or more insured services on or after April 1, 2017 and before April 1, 2018; or
(b) received a payment pursuant to an arrangement under clause 2 (2) (a) of the Act on or after April 1, 2017 and before April 1, 2018.
(2) The amount of the special payment shall be calculated in accordance with the document of the Ministry entitled “Method for the Implementation of 2017/18 Compensation Increases in the 2019 Ministry Of Health (Ministry) And Ontario Medical Association (OMA) Arbitration Award”.
Special payment
2. (1) A special payment is payable by the Plan to every physician in Ontario who,
(a) rendered one or more insured services on or after April 1, 2018 and before April 1, 2019; or
(b) received a payment pursuant to an arrangement under clause 2 (2) (a) of the Act on or after April 1, 2018 and before April 1, 2019. O. Reg. 84/20, s. 1.
(2) The amount of the special payment shall be calculated in accordance with the document of the Ministry entitled “Method for the Implementation of 2018/19 Compensation Increases in the 2019 Ministry of Health (Ministry) and Ontario Medical Association (OMA) Arbitration Award”. Special payment, 2019/20
3. (1) A special payment is payable by the Plan to every physician in Ontario who,
(a) rendered one or more insured services on or after April 1, 2019 and before April 1, 2020; or
(b) received a payment pursuant to an arrangement under clause 2 (2) (a) of the Act on or after April 1, 2019 and before April 1, 2020. O. Reg. 131/21, s. 1.
(2) The amount of the special payment shall be calculated in accordance with the document of the Ministry entitled “Method for the Implementation of 2019/20 Compensation Increases in the 2019 Ministry of Health (Ministry) and Ontario Medical Association (OMA) Arbitration Award”. Special payment, 2021/22
4. (1) A special payment is payable by the Plan to every physician in Ontario who,
(a) rendered one or more insured services on or after April 1, 2021 and before April 1, 2022; or
(b) received a payment pursuant to an arrangement under clause 2 (2) (a) of the Act on or after April 1, 2021 and before April 1, 2022. O. Reg. 239/22, s. 1.
(2) The amount of the special payment shall be calculated in accordance with the document of the Ministry entitled “Method for the Implementation of 2021/22 Compensation Increases in the Ministry of Health (Ministry) and Ontario Medical Association (OMA) 2021 Physician Services Agreement”. Special payment, 2023/24
5. (1) A special payment is payable by the Plan to every physician in Ontario who,
(a) rendered one or more insured services on or after April 1, 2023 and before April 1, 2024; or
(b) received a payment pursuant to an arrangement under clause 2 (2) (a) of the Act on or after April 1, 2023 and before April 1, 2024. O. Reg. 151/24, s. 1.
(2) The amount of the special payment shall be calculated in accordance with the document of the Ministry entitled “Method for the Implementation of 2023/24 Compensation Increases in the OMA and Ministry of Health 2021-24 PSA Year 3 Implementation and 2024-28 Procedural Agreement”.
