GENERAL MATTERS UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL

Note: THIS REGULATION IS NOT YET IN FORCE. It comes into force on December 1, 2020, the day section 42 of Schedule 5 to the Comprehensive Ontario Police Services Act, 2019 comes into force.

Permitted disclosure

1. For the purposes of clause 28 (3) (b) of the Act,

(a) the Niagara Parks Police Service may disclose that the SIU Director has been notified of an incident or matter involving a special constable and is making preliminary inquiries or conducting an investigation into it; and

(b) the Legislative Assembly of Ontario may disclose that the SIU Director has been notified of an incident or matter involving a peace officer and is making preliminary inquiries or conducting an investigation into it.
