Overview

The AMO conference is organized annually by the Association of Municipalities of Ontario. Municipalities across the province have an opportunity to meet with provincial ministers and parliamentary assistants at the conference to discuss specific issues.

This year, the conference will be held in person in the City of Ottawa from August 14 to 17, 2022.

Request a meeting

As a municipal delegate, you can request an in-person meeting with a minister or parliamentary assistant at the AMO conference.

UPDATE:

The deadline to request a meeting has been extended to Thursday June 30, 2022 at 4:00PM EST.

Some of the ministry names changed on Friday June 24, 2022.

The form list to select the ministry that you would like to meet reflects the ministry names prior to June 24, 2022. Select the ministry name that matches your issue topic and your request will be sorted into the correct ministry accordingly.

  • If you wish to request a meeting with the Ministry of Mines, the Ministry of Northern Development or the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry select ‘Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural resources and Forestry’.
  • If you wish to request a meeting with the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery select 'Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.'
  • If you wish to request a meeting with the Ministry of Red Tape Reduction select 'Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade.'
  • If you wish to request a meeting with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport select 'Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries.'
  • If you wish to request a meeting with the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development select 'Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development.'

If your municipality submitted a request on or prior to June 24, 2022, it has been received and is being considered. You do not need to resubmit your request

Guidelines

  • Do not submit the same issue to multiple ministries.
  • Each form lets you request a meeting with up to three ministries. If you’d like to meet with more than three ministries, submit a new form.
  • Not all ministers and parliamentary assistants will be accepting delegations. Do not contact your MPP or individual Ministers’ Offices to request a meeting.

After you submit your request

If you included your email address at the end of the form before submitting it, you will receive a copy of your submission within one business day. The status of your request will be communicated by email or telephone approximately one week before the conference. If your request is successful, we will contact you with the time and details to access the delegation.

Please note that we are collecting delegation requests at this time but the final decision to accept delegation requests will be made by the government in place after the provincial election.
