Amending O. Reg. 664/98

(FISH LICENSING)

1. Subsection 10 (1) of Ontario Regulation 664/98 is amended by striking out “sections 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18.1” and substituting “sections 13 to 17 and 18.1”.

2. The Regulation is amended by adding the following section:

14.1 (1) A resident who is an active member of the armed forces of Canada and who has been issued a Canadian Forces Identification Card (NDI 20) by the Department of National Defence (Canada) may engage in sport fishing if he or she carries the card on his or her person while fishing.

(2) A resident who is a veteran of the armed forces of Canada and who has been issued a Record of Service Card (NDI 75) or a Canadian Armed Forces Veteran’s Service Card (NDI 75) by the Department of National Defence (Canada) may engage in sport fishing if he or she carries the card on his or her person while fishing.

(3) Any document a resident is required to carry on their person while sport fishing under subsection (1) or (2) is deemed to be a sport fishing licence for the purposes of this Regulation.

Commencement

3. This Regulation comes into force on the later of January 1, 2019 and the day it is filed.
