Amending Reg. 194 of R.R.O. 1990

(RULES OF CIVIL PROCEDURE)

1. Subrule 48.04 (1) of Regulation 194 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is revoked and the following substituted:

CONSEQUENCES OF SETTING DOWN

(1) Subject to subrule (3), a party who has set an action down for trial shall not initiate or continue any motion or form of discovery without leave of the court.

2. Rules 48.05 and 48.06 of the Regulation are revoked and the following substituted:

Placing Action on Trial List

48.05 On the setting down of an action for trial, the registrar at the place of trial shall place the action on the appropriate trial list.

Commencement

3. This Regulation comes into force on the later of July 1, 2021 and the day this Regulation is filed.
