Amending O. Reg. 438/97
(ELIGIBLE INVESTMENTS, RELATED FINANCIAL AGREEMENTS AND PRUDENT INVESTMENT)
1. Section 2 of Ontario Regulation 438/97 is amended by striking out “a credit union or league to which the Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires Act, 1994 applies” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “a credit union or central to which the Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires Act, 2020 applies”.
2. (1) The English version of subsection 3 (2.0.1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “league” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “central”.
(2) The English version of subsection 3 (2.0.2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “league” in the portion before paragraph 1 and substituting “central”.
(3) Paragraph 2 of subsection 3 (2.0.2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “Ontario Regulation 237/09 (General) made under the Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires Act, 1994”at the end and substituting “the regulations made under the Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires Act, 2020”.
(4) Paragraph 3 of subsection 3 (2.0.2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “Ontario Regulation 237/09 (General)” at the end and substituting “the regulations made under the Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires Act, 2020”.
(5) Subsection 3 (2.0.3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “paragraph 1 of subsection 15 (3) of Ontario Regulation 237/09 (General)” at the end and substituting “paragraph 1 of subsection 20 (1) of Ontario Regulation 105/22 (General)”.
(6) Subsection 3 (2.0.4) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “paragraph 2 of subsection 15 (3) of Ontario Regulation 237/09 (General)” at the end and substituting “paragraph 2 of subsection 20 (1) of Ontario Regulation 105/22 (General)”.
(7) The English version of subsection 3 (2.0.5) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “league” and substituting “central”.
(8) The English version of paragraph 2 of subsection 3 (6.1.1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “league” and substituting “central”.
Commencement
3. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day section 1 of Schedule 7 (Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires Act, 2020) to the Protect, Support and Recover from COVID-19 Act (Budget Measures), 2020 comes into force and the day this Regulation is filed.
