Amending O. Reg. 155/18
(GENERAL MATTERS UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL)
1. Section 10 of Ontario Regulation 155/18 is amended by adding the following subsection:
(4.1) A foster parent who is permitted to use physical restraint under subsection (3) may only do so if the foster parent is satisfied that the requirements under subsection (1) have been met and if the physical restraint is used in accordance with subsection (4).
2. Section 21 of the Regulation is amended by adding the following subsection:
(10) A foster parent who is permitted to use mechanical restraint pursuant to this section shall comply with any requirements, conditions or rules that a service provider is required to comply with under subsections (2), (4.1), (4.2), (5) and (6).
3. Subsections 31 (4) and (5) of the Regulation are revoked.
4. Section 114.1 of the Regulation is revoked.
5. The Regulation is amended by adding the following section:

Offences, s. 280 (1) (i) of the Act
115.1 The following provisions are prescribed for the purposes of clause 280 (1) (i) of the Act:
1. Subsections 10 (1), (2), (4) and (4.1).
2. Subsections 21 (2), (4.1), (4.2), (5), (6) and (10).
3. Section 80.4 of Ontario Regulation 156/18.
4. Section 102 of Ontario Regulation 156/18.
Commencement
6. This Regulation comes into force on the later of January 1, 2025 and the day this Regulation is filed.
