New Exporters of Technologies and Services to the U.S. Oct 2026

Sector: ICT

Market Region: Worldwide

Date: October 28, 2026 (09:30-12:30, EST)

The United States remains Ontario's most important export market, and for many businesses, success in the U.S. is essential to sustaining growth and competitiveness.

While trade between Canada and the United States continues to present significant opportunities, recent tariff measures, evolving regulations, and changing market conditions have increased complexity for Canadian exporters.

In partnership with the Trade Commissioner Service, the Government of Ontario is pleased to offer a specialized export webinar designed for Ontario technology and service companies looking to enter or grow their presence in the U.S. market.

Unlike physical goods, digital products and electronically delivered services are often subject to distinct regulatory, tax, intellectual property, immigration, and cross-border trade considerations. This webinar will provide practical guidance to help companies understand these requirements, mitigate risks, and develop an effective U.S. market entry or expansion strategy.

The New Exporters of Technologies and Services to the United States (NETSUS) Program builds on the longstanding success of the New Exporters to Border States (NEBS) Program, which has supported Ontario companies for more than 30 years. Participants will leave with actionable insights, expert advice, and resources to help them confidently pursue growth opportunities in the U.S. market.

Participants will hear from industry experts and have the opportunity to ask questions on topics including:

  • Provincial and federal export support programs and services

  • CUSMA considerations for technology companies and service providers

  • Protecting and managing intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and industrial designs

  • Tax considerations for technology and service exports to the United States

  • Immigration requirements, including visas and work permits

  • U.S. standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements

Whether your company develops software, delivers digital solutions, or provides professional and technical services, this webinar will provide practical insights and expert guidance to help you navigate the evolving U.S. business environment and capitalize on opportunities in Ontario's largest export market.
