Why attend?
According to Global Affairs Canada, over 98% of tariff lines and 99.9% of bilateral trade between Canada and the U.S. are eligible for preferential treatment under the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA)—provided the goods meet the agreement’s rules of origin.
Recent data from the Bank of Canada confirms that approximately 95% of Canadian exports to the U.S. currently qualify for CUSMA benefits, shielding them from the latest round of U.S. tariff increases. In April 2025, nearly 90% of Canadian exports entered the U.S. duty-free, despite rising trade tensions.
This webinar is especially relevant for Ontario businesses that:
• Are planning to enter the U.S. market for the first time.
• Want to expand their existing U.S. operations.
• Need to understand how to maintain CUSMA compliance and avoid costly tariffs.
