In collaboration with the Trade Commissioner Service in Chile, this mission offers Ontario cleantech companies a strategic gateway into Antofagasta’s dynamic mining, energy, and industrial ecosystem. Chile’s ambitious energy transition, targeting 70% renewable energy by 2030, continues to drive strong demand for technologies in solar, wind, energy storage, electrification, decarbonization, and sustainable water solutions.

EXPONOR Antofagasta is one of Latin America’s leading mining and energy exhibitions, serving as a key platform for innovation, technology transfer, and international business development. Held in Antofagasta, “the heart of Chile’s mining industry,” EXPONOR connects global suppliers with major mining companies, EPCs, energy providers, and public-sector stakeholders.

The most recent edition welcomed thousands of professional visitors, exhibiting companies, government authorities, and industry leaders. The exhibition features a robust agenda of technical seminars, innovation showcases, networking events, and pre-arranged business meetings, making it an ideal venue for companies seeking market entry or expansion in Chile.

This mission will connect Ontario companies with Chilean firms, industry leaders, and key stakeholders such as Export Development Canada (EDC) and the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), supporting business development in a market with billions in projected investments across mining modernization, renewable energy, hydrogen, electrification, and sustainable infrastructure.
