Ontario Emergency Technologies Mission to Peru

The Ontario Emergency Technologies Mission to Peru is a high-impact international business development initiative designed to connect Ontario-based companies offering emergency response, disaster resilience, and public safety technologies with key buyers, partners, military and government stakeholders in Peru.

Peru is one of Latin America’s most disaster-prone countries, facing frequent earthquakes, flooding, wildfires, and landslides. The Government of Peru is investing heavily in strengthening emergency management systems, building climate-resilient infrastructure, and adopting innovative, technology-driven solutions. This creates a timely opportunity for Ontario firms with expertise in early warning systems, resilient communications, disaster response tools, air and water monitoring, emergency medical logistics, and search and rescue equipment.

Mission Highlights

Organized by the Government of Ontario in collaboration with the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service in Peru and local partners, the mission will take place over three days and feature:

  • Market & Regulatory Briefings led by local experts and Canadian Trade Commissioners, providing insights into Peru’s public safety priorities, procurement processes, and civil protection initiatives.
  • B2B and B2G Meetings with emergency services agencies, ministries, municipal authorities, private sector buyers and NGOs,
  • Site Visits to leading institutions such as Peru’s National Institute of Civil Defense (INDECI) or regional emergency coordination centres to better understand operational challenges and technology needs.
  • Networking Events with decision-makers, government stakeholders, and industry partners to build long-term relationships and explore collaboration opportunities.

Mission Outcomes The mission aims to deliver:

  • Over 40 curated B2B meetings in Lima.
  • Engagements with national and municipal disaster management authorities.
  • Site visits to emergency coordination centres and infrastructure projects.
  • Tangible leads and pilot project opportunities for Ontario companies.

Why Participate?
Ontario companies are globally recognized for their leadership in innovation, public safety, and climate resilience technologies. By joining this mission, participants will gain:

  • Direct access to Peruvian decision-makers and buyers.
  • Tailored in-market guidance and export support services.
  • Opportunities to position their technologies as solutions for some of Latin America’s most pressing climate and disaster-related challenges.

This business mission will serve as a strategic platform for Ontario firms to enter or expand in the Peruvian market, accelerating market access, establishing commercial relationships, and generating export opportunities in a sector with long-term demand and social impact.
