The Ontario government is pleased to advise that it is organizing a Mining Supplies and Services business export mission to Lima, Peru, from September 5 to 12, 2026. This mission will provide participating companies with a focused platform to pursue export opportunities in Peru and the broader Latin American mining market. Planned programming includes a pre-conference business-to-business (B2B) program at the Canadian Embassy in Lima, a mine site tour, and guided walkabout support during Expomina 2026, taking place September 9–11, 2026 in Lima.

Key components of the mission include:
•    Pre-conference mine site visit to Rio2’s Condestable Mine (TBC)
•    Access to the B2B matchmaking program arranged in partnership with a Peru-based service provider and the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (up to five targeted meetings with Peruvian mining companies) at the Canadian Embassy
•    Attendance at Expomina in Lima, Peru, including a one-day walkabout program at the conference guided by a Peru-based service provider NOTE:  Ontario will not be exhibiting at the show but will be available to provide support to Ontario companies with all aspects of the mission.
•    Leverage a Canada networking reception at the residence of the Canadian Ambassador
•    Additional visibility for Ontario companies with an Ontario Minister’s presence

About Expomina 2026 
Expomina is the largest mining trade conference in Peru in 2026, offering direct access to Peru’s mining industry and the Latin American market. The event attracts senior executives, procurement teams, and technical specialists actively seeking innovative and reliable solutions, making it a high-impact platform for Northern Ontario suppliers looking to grow internationally.

Over three days, Expomina will bring together leading mining suppliers at a 49,200 m² venue, featuring more than 1,250 booths and international delegations.      

          
Additional Mission Considerations
•    Ontario’s mission is being delivered in partnership with the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service, leveraging Canada’s in-market presence and expertise 
•    The anticipated participation of the Honourable George Pirie, Minister of Northern Economic Development and Growth, is expected to enhance the profile and impact of the mission 
•    The Province of Saskatchewan is also expected to have a trade mission presence at Expomina, further elevating Canada’s profile at the event

Participation Details
Registration is limited to the first eight eligible companies and available on a first come, first served basis. Invoices will be issued to the first eight eligible companies that register. Payment must be received within three weeks of receipt of the invoice or space may be reallocated.

Additional delegate fee:  $   600
