The Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation & Trade are pleased to offer a new series of webinars called Spotlight on Exporting that focuses on specific topics of interest to Ontario companies either looking to begin their exporting journey or those who are looking to expand their current exporting reach globally.
For the second topic of this series, select speakers and subject matter experts will address overcoming fluctuations and uncertainty in exporting operations by examining how companies can realign/near-shore their supply chains, increasing their ability to develop predictable export-focused business planning. Currently Ontario businesses are encountering both new opportunities and challenges as manufacturing hubs appear, cross-border logistics change, and technology reimagines operations. The shift from Asia-centric production to regional hubs across Canada, the US, and Mexico is being accelerated by the trade disputes with the US, post-pandemic lessons, and growing geopolitical risks. Nearshoring/realigning their supply chains can assist Ontario companies to adapt to these challenges.
