relating to the

Supporting Children’s Futures Act, 2024

Ordered: May 22, 2025

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

 

Supporting Children’s Futures Act, 2024

 

1. July 1, 2025 is named as the day on which the following provisions of the Supporting Children’s Futures Act, 2024, c. 17, which amend the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017, come into force:

 

s. 1, 6-25, 29, 31, 32.

 

2. July 1, 2025 is named as the day on which the following provision of the Supporting Children’s Futures Act, 2024, c. 17, which amends the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, comes into force:

 

s. 35.

 

3. July 1, 2025 is named as the day on which the following provisions of the Supporting Children’s Futures Act, 2024, c. 17, which amend the Intercountry Adoption Act, 1998, come into force:

 

s. 36 (2), (3).

Correction

This Order in Council, as previously published on e-Laws, contained the following publication error:

The Order in Council was shown as having been recommended by the Solicitor General. In fact, the Order in Council was recommended by the Minister of Children, Community and Social Services.

This error was corrected on June 10, 2026.
