On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

 

Protect Ontario Through Safer Streets and Stronger Communities Act, 2025

 

January 1, 2026 is named as the day on which the following provision of the Protect Ontario Through Safer Streets and Stronger Communities Act, 2025, c. 6, which amends the Highway Traffic Act, comes into force:

Correction

This Order in Council, as previously published on e-Laws, contained the following publication error:

The Order in Council was shown as having been recommended by the Solicitor General. In fact, the Order in Council was recommended by the Minister of Transportation.

This error was corrected on June 10, 2026.
