SMALL CLAIMS COURT JURISDICTION

This is the English version of a bilingual regulation.
1. (1) The maximum amount of a claim in the Small Claims Court is $10,000. O. Reg. 626/00, s. 1 (1).
Note: On January 1, 2010, subsection (1) is amended by striking out “$10,000” at the end and substituting “$25,000”. See: O. Reg. 439/08, ss. 1 (1), 2.
(2) The maximum amount of a claim over which a deputy judge may preside is $10,000. O. Reg. 626/00, s. 1 (2).
