TRANSITIONAL MATTERS RE: ENACTMENT OF THE child and family services Statute law amendment act, 2006

Note: This Regulation comes into force on the day section 15 of the Child and Family Services Statute Law Amendment Act, 2006 is proclaimed in force. See: O. Reg. 495/06, s. 4. This day has been named as November 30, 2006.

Application of section 57.2

1. Section 57.2 of the Act does not apply to a proceeding under the Children’s Law Reform Act that is commenced before the day section 15 of the Child and Family Services Statute Law Amendment Act, 2006 is proclaimed in force if the court having jurisdiction over the proceeding has not ordered that the proceeding be stayed before that day. O. Reg. 495/06, s. 1.

Application of section 59

2. Subsection 59 (2) of the Act, as it read immediately before the day subsection 17 (2) of the Child and Family Services Statute Law Amendment Act, 2006 is proclaimed in force, continues to apply to proceedings that were initiated under Part III of the Act before that day. O. Reg. 495/06, s. 2.

Application of section 145

3. Section 145 of the Act, as it read immediately before the day section 37 of the Child and Family Services Statute Law Amendment Act, 2006 is proclaimed in force, continues to apply to cases where the Director received notice under subsection 145 (1) or (2) of the Act before that day.
