LOCAL BOARDS

Exempted local boards

1. The following local boards are exempted from the definition of “local board” in subsection 1 (1) of the Act:

1. A society as defined in subsection 2 (1) of the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017.

2. A board of health as defined in subsection 1 (1) of the Health Protection and Promotion Act.

3. A committee of management established under the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007.

Note: On April 11, 2022, the day section 204 of Schedule 1 to the Providing More Care, Protecting Seniors, and Building More Beds Act, 2021 comes into force, paragraph 3 of section 1 of the Regulation is amended by striking out “the Long-Term Care Homes Act, 2007” at the end and substituting “the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021”. 4. A police services board established under the Police Services Act.

5. A board as defined in section 1 of the Public Libraries Act. O. Reg. 114/15, s. 1; O. Reg. 179/18, s. 1.
