R.R.O. 1990, REGULATION 609

RESTRICTED USE OF THE KING’S HIGHWAY

This Regulation is made in English only.

1. (1) No person shall operate or ride,

(a) a farm tractor;

(b) a self-propelled implement of husbandry;

(c) a motor vehicle designed as a farm implement for drawing ploughs, mowing machines and other implements of husbandry and used for hauling a load;

(d) a horse; or

(e) a vehicle drawn by a horse,

on those parts of the King’s Highway described in the Schedule. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 609, s.1 (1).

(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to,

(a) a person who owns, occupies or is hired by the owner or occupier to work on lands adjoining the King’s Highway to which lands there is no other means of access by highway while such person is engaged in gaining access to or egress from such lands if in gaining such access or egress the person proceeds by the shortest route over such King’s Highway to the lands; or

(b) a vehicle used for the maintenance of the highway. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 609, s.1 (2); O. Reg. 754/93, s.1.

2. Where the highway is referred to in the Schedule by a number or name, the reference is to that part of the King’s Highway that is known thereby. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 609, s.2.

SCHEDULE

All of the King’s Highway known as No. 400, 401, 402, 403, 404, 405, 406, 407, 409, 410, 417, 420, 427 and the Queen Elizabeth Way.
