USE OF CONTROLLED-ACCESS HIGHWAYS BY PEDESTRIANS

This Regulation is made in English only.

1. (1) Subject to subsection (2), pedestrians are prohibited from using those parts of the controlled-access highways described in the schedules.

(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to pedestrians,

(a) engaged in police duties, highway maintenance or construction duties;

(b) within commuter parking lots established and maintained by the Ministry or proceeding directly between such lots and adjacent intersecting highways;

(c) within truck inspection stations or pulp load check areas established and maintained by the Ministry; or

(d) making use of a controlled-access highway where the use is necessary because of an emergency. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 627, s. 1.

2. Where a highway is referred to in a schedule by a number or name, the reference is to that part of the King’s Highway that is known thereby. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 627, s. 2.
