POSSESSION OF LIQUOR IN PROVINCIAL PARKS

This Regulation is made in English only.
1. In this Regulation,
“interior campsite” means a parcel of land that is not directly accessible by road and that is located in the area operated by the superintendent for the purpose of interior camping, as indicated on a current park map and designated by signs and other suitable means;
“package” means a container, bottle, vessel, carton or other receptacle for holding liquor or bottles of liquor;
“superintendent” means a person who is designated by the Minister of Natural Resources as a superintendent to have charge of a provincial park. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 723, s. 1; O. Reg. 17/09, s. 1.
2. (1) No person shall, from and including the tenth day prior to Victoria Day to and including Victoria Day, have or keep in his or her possession or custody liquor or any package containing liquor in a provincial park listed in the Schedule. R.R.O. 1990, Reg. 723, s. 2 (1).
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply,
(a) on premises occupied under a lease, licence of occupation or land use permit;
(b) on premises occupied under an agreement made under subsection 35 (2) of the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006;
(c) on an interior campsite; or
(d) to a person who is carrying or conveying liquor or any package containing liquor from outside of the provincial park to any of the premises enumerated in clause (a), (b) or (c) that are to be occupied by the person or from those premises to the entrance of the provincial park. 3. (1) No person shall, from and including the Thursday prior to Labour Day to and including Labour Day, have or keep in his or her possession or custody liquor or any package containing liquor in Sibbald Point Provincial Park. O. Reg. 374/00, s. 1.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply,
(a) on premises occupied under an agreement made under subsection 35 (2) of the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006; or
(b) to a person who is carrying or conveying liquor or any package containing liquor from outside of Sibbald Point Provincial Park to premises that are to be occupied by the person under an agreement made under subsection 35 (2) of the Provincial Parks and Conservation Reserves Act, 2006 or from those premises to the entrance of the provincial park.
