This Regulation is made in English only.

1. (1) The College shall conduct or cause to be conducted examinations at least once a year.  O. Reg. 679/93, s. 1 (1).

(2) The College shall conduct or cause to be conducted supplemental examinations within four months of each examination under subsection (1) or within a longer period as may be reasonably required in the circumstances.  O. Reg. 679/93, s. 1 (2).

(3) Despite subsection (2), supplemental examinations are not required where there is no candidate eligible to try the examinations.  O. Reg. 679/93, s. 1 (3).

2. (1) The examinations and supplemental examinations shall assess candidates in respect of the knowledge and skills necessary to competently practise chiropody.  O. Reg. 679/93, s. 2 (1).

(2) Where the examinations and supplemental examinations are conducted by the College, the College shall determine,

(a) the requirements for passing the examinations and supplemental examinations; and

(b) the requirements for eligibility to try supplemental examinations.  O. Reg. 679/93, s. 2 (2).

3. A person is eligible to try the examinations if he or she satisfies the registration requirements set out in subsection 3 (1) and in paragraphs 1, 3 and 4 of subsection 4 (1) of Ontario Regulation 830/93.  O. Reg. 212/94, s. 1.

4. (1) An applicant shall file with the College a completed application for examinations in the required form at least 120 days before the date set for the examinations together with the required fee.  O. Reg. 679/93, s. 4 (1); O. Reg. 385/06, s. 1 (1).

5. The Registrar shall notify every applicant of whether he or she is eligible to try the examinations conducted by the College and shall notify every eligible applicant of the time and place fixed for the examinations.  O. Reg. 679/93, s. 5.

6. (1) Where an applicant fails the examinations conducted by the College and is eligible to try the supplemental examinations, the College shall notify the applicant of his or her eligibility and shall notify every eligible applicant of the time and place fixed for the supplemental examinations.  O. Reg. 679/93, s. 6 (1).

(2) Where an applicant fails the supplemental examinations conducted by the College, he or she is not entitled to try further supplemental examinations but is eligible to try the examinations the following year.  O. Reg. 679/93, s. 6 (2).

(3) Despite subsection (2), the Registration Committee may require an applicant who has failed the supplemental examinations to submit proof of remediation and upgrading in accordance with policy guidelines issued by the Committee before the applicant may be readmitted to the examination process.  O. Reg. 679/93, s. 6 (3).
