ONTARIO REGULATION 222/94

NUMBER OF MEMBERS ON COMMITTEES

This Regulation is made in English only.

1. For the purposes of subsection 5 (2) of the Act, the prescribed number of members to be appointed to the joint committee by the Minister is six. O. Reg. 495/07, s. 1.

Note: On the day section 3 of Schedule G to the Health System Improvements Act, 2007 comes into force, the Regulation is amended by adding the following section:

1.1 (1) For the purposes of subsection 5.4 (2) of the Act, the prescribed number of physicians to be appointed to the payment committee by the Minister is 20.

(2) Quorum for the payment committee is 10 members, of whom,

(a) five shall be members described in clause 5.4 (2) (a) of the Act; and

(b) five shall be members described in clause 5.4 (2) (b) of the Act. O. Reg. 159/09, s. 1.

2. For the purposes of subsection 6 (1) of the Act, the prescribed number of members appointed by the Minister,

(a) to the chiropody review committee,

(i) who are not physicians or practitioners, is two, and

(ii) from among the persons nominated by the Board of Regents appointed under the Chiropody Act, is three;

(b) to the chiropractic review committee,

(i) who are not physicians or practitioners, is two, and

(ii) from among the persons nominated by the Board of Directors of Chiropractic appointed under the Drugless Practitioners Act, is three;

(c) to the dentistry review committee,

(i) who are not physicians or practitioners, is two, and

(ii) from among the persons nominated by The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario, is three;

(d) to the optometry review committee,

(i) who are not physicians or practitioners, is two, and

(ii) from among the persons nominated by the College of Optometrists of Ontario, is three; and

(e) to the osteopathy review committee,

(i) who are not physicians or practitioners, is two, and

(ii) from among the persons nominated by the Board of Directors of Osteopathy appointed under the Drugless Practitioners Act, is three. O. Reg. 222/94, s. 2.
