GROUND SOURCE HEAT PUMPS

1. In this Regulation,
“ground source heat pump” means a heating and cooling system for buildings that uses a liquid to exchange heat with the ground or ground water. O. Reg. 177/98, s. 1.
2. A ground source heat pump that uses a liquid other than methanol is exempted from section 9 of the Act. O. Reg. 177/98, s. 2.
3. (1) No ground source heat pump that uses methanol shall be used unless it was put into operation before June 1, 1998. O. Reg. 177/98, s. 3 (1).
(2) No ground source heat pump that uses methanol shall be constructed, altered, extended or replaced. O. Reg. 177/98, s. 3 (2).
