Amending O. Reg. 124/02

(Taxes and Charges on Hydro-Electric Generating Stations)

1. Section 2 of Ontario Regulation 124/02 is amended by striking out “December 31, 2003” and substituting “December 31, 2004”.

2. Subsection 4 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “the day subsection 26 (1) of the Act comes into force” in the portion before clause (a) and substituting “May 1, 2002”.

3. Paragraph 2 of subsection 7 (4) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

2. Whether an approval issued by the Minister of Natural Resources under the Lakes and Rivers Improvement Act was required for the work and, if such an approval was required, a statement that the work was carried out in accordance with an approval.

4. (1) Subject to subsections (2) and (3), this Regulation comes into force on the day on which it is filed.

(2) Section 1 shall be deemed to have come into force on January 1, 2004.

(3) Section 3 shall be deemed to have come into force on January 1, 2001.
