Amending O. Reg. 401/96

(Assessment of Health System Costs)

1. Section 2 of Ontario Regulation 401/96 is revoked and the following substituted:

2. (1) The amount of $142,327,944, incurred by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care under Acts and programs administered by that ministry, is prescribed for the purposes of section 14.1 of the Act.

(2) Despite subsection (1), the amount of $102,327,944, incurred by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care under Acts and programs administered by that ministry, is prescribed for the purposes of section 14.1 of the Act for the period from October 1, 2006 to March 31, 2007.

(3) For the purposes of section 3, an insurer’s share of the assessment in respect of the period mentioned in subsection (2) shall be determined  on the basis of an assessment period that is from October 1, 2006 to March 31, 2007.

2. Section 4 of the Regulation is revoked.

3. This Regulation comes into force on October 1, 2006.
