Amending O. Reg. 288/01
(Termination and Severance of Employment)
1. The definition of “disability benefit plan” in section 1 of Ontario Regulation 288/01 is revoked.
2. (1) The English version of paragraph 10 of subsection 2 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “so to do” and substituting “to do so”.
(2) Paragraph 11 of subsection 2 (1) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
11. An employee whose employment is terminated when he or she reaches the age of retirement in accordance with the employer’s established practice, but only if the termination would not contravene the Human Rights Code.
3. The English version of paragraph 9 of subsection 9 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “so to do” and substituting “to do so”.
4. (1) Subject to subsection (2), this Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
(2) Subsection 2 (2) comes into force on December 12, 2006.
