Amending O. Reg. 206/97

(Waste Disposal Sites and Waste Management Systems Subject to Approval under the Environmental Assessment Act)

1. The title to Ontario Regulation 206/97 is revoked and the following substituted:

 

Waste Disposal Sites and Waste Management Systems subject to approval under or exempt from the Environmental Assessment Act

2. The Regulation is amended by adding the following section:

2. (1) The use, operation or establishment of a waste disposal site is exempt from section 30 of the Environmental Protection Act if the establishment of the site is exempt from section 5 of the Environmental Assessment Act under Ontario Regulation 101/07 (Waste Management Projects) made under that Act.

(2) The alteration, extension or enlargement of a waste disposal site is exempt from section 30 of the Environmental Protection Act if the alteration, extension or enlargement is exempt from section 5 of the Environmental Assessment Act under Ontario Regulation 101/07.
