Amending O. Reg. 681/94
(CLASSIFICATION OF PROPOSALS FOR INSTRUMENTS)
1. (1) Subsection 5 (1) of Ontario Regulation 681/94 is amended by adding the following definition:
“alternative low-carbon fuel”, “alternative low-carbon fuel site” and “demonstration project” have the same meaning as in Ontario Regulation 79/15 (Alternative Low-Carbon Fuels) made under the Environmental Protection Act.
(2) Paragraph 6 of subsection 5 (2) of the Regulation is amended by adding the following subparagraphs:
iv.1 An activity mentioned in subsection 9 (1) of the Environmental Protection Act that would permit the discharge of a contaminant if,
A. the activity is related to the combustion of alternative low-carbon fuel at an alternative low-carbon fuel site, and
B. the proposal is in respect of a demonstration project at the site.

vii.1 An activity mentioned in subsection 53 (1) of the Ontario Water Resources Act in respect of a demonstration project at an alternative low-carbon fuel site.
Commencement
2. This Regulation comes into force on the later of May 1, 2015 and the day this Regulation is filed.
