(CALCULATION OF FEES FOR PUPILS FOR THE 2015-2016 SCHOOL BOARD FISCAL YEAR)

1. (1) Subsection 3 (3) of Ontario Regulation 196/15 is amended by adding the following paragraphs:

15.1 Determine an amount on account of the one per cent lump sum payment (part of the cost adjustment and new teacher induction program allocation) for elementary school pupils as follows:

i. Take the amount set out in Column 2 of Table 12.2 of the grant regulation opposite the name of the board.

ii. Divide the amount determined under subparagraph i by the day school A.D.E. of pupils of the board.

iii. Multiply the amount determined under subparagraph ii by the day school A.D.E. of elementary school pupils of the board.

20.1 Determine an amount on account of the earned leave plan (part of the cost adjustment and new teacher induction program allocation) for elementary school pupils as follows:

i. The amount for an English-language public district school board is 0.

ii. The amount for a district school board, other than an English-language public district school board, in which the elementary school teachers’ bargaining unit and the secondary school teachers’ bargaining unit is combined is determined as follows:

A. Take the sum of the amounts set out in Columns 2 and 3 of Table 12.1 of the grant regulation opposite the name of the board.

B. Take the amount set out in Column 2 of Table 12.1 of the grant regulation opposite the name of the board and divide it by the amount determined under sub-subparagraph A.

C. Take the earned leave plan amount determined for the board under the grant regulation (part of the cost adjustment and new teacher induction program allocation) and multiply it by the amount determined under sub-subparagraph B.

iii. The amount for a district school board, other than an English-language public district school board, in which the elementary school teachers’ bargaining unit and the secondary school teachers’ bargaining unit is not combined is the portion of the board’s earned leave plan amount that is in respect of the elementary school teachers’ bargaining unit, determined for the board under the grant regulation (part of the determination of the earned leave plan amount, which is part of the cost adjustment and new teacher induction program allocation).

(2) Paragraph 21 of subsection 3 (3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “the amount determined under paragraph 20” and substituting “the total of the amounts determined under paragraphs 20 and 20.1”.

(3) Subsection 3 (4) of the Regulation is amended by adding the following paragraphs:

14.1 Determine an amount on account of the one per cent lump sum payment (part of the cost adjustment and new teacher induction program allocation) for secondary school pupils as follows:

i. Take the amount set out in Column 2 of Table 12.2 of the grant regulation opposite the name of the board.

ii. Divide the amount determined under subparagraph i by the day school A.D.E. of pupils of the board.

iii. Multiply the amount determined under subparagraph ii by the day school A.D.E. of secondary school pupils of the board.

19.1 Determine an amount on account of the earned leave plan (part of the cost adjustment and new teacher induction program allocation) for secondary school pupils as follows:

i. The amount for an English-language public district school board is 0.

ii. The amount for a district school board, other than an English-language public district school board, in which the elementary school teachers’ bargaining unit and the secondary school teachers’ bargaining unit is combined is determined as follows:

A. Take the sum of the amounts set out in Columns 2 and 3 of Table 12.1 of the grant regulation opposite the name of the board.

B. Take the amount set out in Column 3 of Table 12.1 of the grant regulation opposite the name of the board and divide it by the amount determined under sub-subparagraph A.

C. Take the earned leave plan amount determined for the board under the grant regulation (part of the cost adjustment and new teacher induction program allocation) and multiply it by the amount determined under sub-subparagraph B.

iii. The amount for a district school board, other than an English-language public district school board, in which the elementary school teachers’ bargaining unit and the secondary school teachers’ bargaining unit is not combined is the portion of the board’s earned leave plan amount that is in respect of the secondary school teachers’ bargaining unit, determined for the board under the grant regulation (part of the determination of the earned leave plan amount, which is part of the cost adjustment and new teacher induction program allocation).

(4) Paragraph 20 of subsection 3 (4) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “the amount determined under paragraph 19” and substituting “the total of the amounts determined under paragraphs 19 and 19.1”.

2. This Regulation comes into force on the day it is filed.
