Amending Reg. 178 of R.R.O. 1990

(GENERAL)

1. Subsection 12.5 (4) of Regulation 178 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is amended by striking out “Arbitrations Act” and substituting “Arbitration Act, 1991”.

2. Section 24 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

24. (1) For the purposes of the definition of “certified copy” in subsection 1 (1) of the Act, the following are designated:

1. The Superintendent and his or her delegate, to the extent their duties relate to the administration of the provision of the Act under which the certified copy is provided.

2. A director or manager of the Ministry, to the extent their duties relate to the administration of the provision of the Act under which the certified copy is provided.

(2) For the purposes of subsection 182 (1) of the Act, the following are designated:

1. The Superintendent and his or her delegate, to the extent their duties relate to the administration of the provision of the Act under which the certificate is provided.

2. A director or manager of the Ministry, to the extent their duties relate to the administration of the provision of the Act under which the certificate is provided.

Commencement

3. This Regulation comes into force on the later of the day section 1 of Schedule 9 to the Stronger, Fairer Ontario Act (Budget Measures), 2017 comes into force and the day it is filed.
