(GENERAL)

1. (1) Paragraphs 1 and 2 of subsection 41 (1) of Ontario Regulation 134/98 are revoked and the following substituted:

1. The amount payable for basic needs determined in accordance with the following:

For each additional dependant, add $178 if the dependant is 18 years of age or older or $0 if the dependant is 0 to 17 years of age.

2. If the applicant or recipient resides north of the 50th parallel and is without year round road access, an amount determined in accordance with the following Table:

(2) Paragraph 5 of subsection 41 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$43” and substituting “$44”.

2. (1) Subsection 43 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$146” and substituting “$149”.

(2) Subsection 43 (3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$146” and substituting “$149”.

3. (1) The Table to paragraph 1 of subsection 44 (2) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(2) Paragraph 2 of subsection 44 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$208” and substituting “$213”, by striking out “$96” and substituting “$98” and by striking out “$100” and substituting “$102”.

(3) Paragraphs 1 and 2 of subsection 44 (3) of the Regulation are revoked and the following substituted:

(4) Paragraph 4 of subsection 44 (3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$69” at the beginning and substituting “$71”.

4. (1) Clause 44.1 (2) (h) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “and” at the end.

(2) Clause 44.1 (2) (i) of the Regulation is amended by adding “and before October 1, 2018; and” at the end.

(3) Subsection 44.1 (2) of the Regulation is amended by adding the following clause:

(j) not less than the sum of $149 for each member of the benefit unit, with respect to determinations relating to a month after September 30, 2018.

(4) Subsection 44.1 (3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$146” and substituting “$149”.

5. Subparagraph 1 ii of section 51 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

ii. the amount of the budgetary requirements calculated in accordance with section 41 less the applicable amount determined in accordance with the following:

For each additional dependant, add $178 if the dependant is 18 years of age or older or $0 if the dependant is 0 to 17 years of age. The amount attributable to a dependent child shall be reduced by 50 per cent where budgetary requirements for the child were reduced under section 44.2.

6. Paragraph 5 of subsection 55 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$82” and substituting “$84”.

7. (1) Clause 57 (5) (a) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$433” at the beginning and substituting “$442” and by striking out “$321” and substituting “$328”.

(2) Clause 57 (5) (b) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$269” at the beginning and substituting “$275” and by striking out “$220” and substituting “$225”.

Commencement

8. This Regulation comes into force on the later of October 1, 2018 and the day it is filed.
