Amending O. Reg. 222/98

(GENERAL)

1. (1) The Table to paragraph 1 of subsection 30 (1) of Ontario Regulation 222/98 is revoked and the following substituted:

For each additional dependant, add $211 if the dependant is 18 years of age or older or $0 if the dependant is 0 to 17 years of age.

(2) The Table to paragraph 2 of subsection 30 (1) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

For each additional dependant, add $102.

(3) Subsection 30 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$1,941” at the end and substituting “$1,971”.

2. (1) The Table to paragraph 2 of subsection 31 (2) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

(2) Paragraph 5 of subsection 31 (2) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$70” and substituting “$72”.

3. Subsection 32 (1) of the Regulation is amended by,

(a) striking out “$146” at the beginning of paragraph 1 and substituting “$149”;

(b) striking out “$1,001” in paragraph 2 and substituting “$1,017”; and

(c) striking out “$1,005” in the portion of paragraph 3 before subparagraph i and substituting “$1,021”.

4. (1) Paragraph 1 of subsection 33 (1) of the Regulation is amended by,

(a) striking out “$812” at the beginning of subparagraph i and substituting “$825”;

(b) striking out “$1,211” at the beginning of subparagraph ii and substituting “$1,230”; and

(c) striking out “$1,619” at the beginning of subparagraph iii and substituting “$1,644”.

(2) Paragraph 2 of subsection 33 (1) of the Regulation is amended by,

(a) striking out “$238” at the beginning of sub-subparagraph i A and substituting “$242”;

(b) striking out “$274” at the beginning of sub-subparagraph i B and substituting “$279”;

(c) striking out “$455” at the beginning of sub-subparagraph i C and substituting “$462”;

(d) striking out “$99” at the beginning of subparagraph ii and substituting “$101”;

(e) striking out “$135” at the beginning of subparagraph iii and substituting “$138”; and

(f) striking out “$223” at the beginning of subparagraph iv and substituting “$227”.

(3) Paragraph 2.1 of subsection 33 (1) of the Regulation is amended by,

(a) striking out “$99” at the beginning of subparagraph i and substituting “$101”;

(b) striking out “$135” at the beginning of subparagraph ii and substituting “$138”; and

(c) striking out “$223” at the beginning of subparagraph iii and substituting “$227”.

(4) The Table to paragraph 3 of subsection 33 (1) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

For each additional dependant, add $99.

(5) Paragraph 5 of subsection 33 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$69” at the beginning and substituting “$71”.

5. (1) Subsection 33.1 (2) of the Regulation is amended by,

(a) striking out “and” at the end of clause (h);

(b) adding “and before September 1, 2018; and” at the end of clause (i); and

(c) adding the following clause:

(j) not less than the sum of $149 for each member of the benefit unit, with respect to determinations relating to a month after August 31, 2018.

(2) Subsection 33.1 (3) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$146” and substituting “$149”.

6. The Table to paragraph 1 of section 40 of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

The amount attributable to a dependent child shall be reduced by 50 per cent where budgetary requirements for the child were reduced under section 33.2.

7. Paragraph 5 of subsection 44 (1) of the Regulation is amended by striking out “$82” and substituting “$84”.

Commencement

8. This Regulation comes into force on the later of September 1, 2018 and the day it is filed.
