Amending Reg. 178 of R.R.O. 1990
(GENERAL)
1. (1) Paragraph 1 of subsection 12 (1.6) of Regulation 178 of the Revised Regulations of Ontario, 1990 is amended by adding “or a Crown agency” after “Province of Ontario”.
(2) Paragraph 1 of subsection 12 (1.7) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
1. Aucun représentant du gouvernement de la province de l’Ontario ou d’un organisme de la Couronne n’a examiné le bien-fondé des questions dont traite le prospectus.
(3) Subsections 12 (3) and (4) of the Regulation are amended by striking out “Minister” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario”.
2. Subsection 12.4 (1) of the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:
(1) Every co-operative that has issued securities under an offering statement to non-members shall send each of them a material change statement as soon as practicable after being issued a receipt for the statement by the Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario.
3. Section 13.1 of the Regulation is revoked.
4. Section 17 and clause 18 (a) of the Regulation are amended by striking out “Corporations Tax Branch” wherever it appears and substituting in each case “Account Management and Collections Branch”.
Commencement
5. This Regulation comes into force on the later of April 1, 2020 and the day it is filed.
