Amending O. Reg. 121/20

(ORDER UNDER SUBSECTION 7.0.2 (4) OF THE ACT - SERVICE AGENCIES PROVIDING SERVICES AND SUPPORTS TO ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES)

1. The title to Ontario Regulation 121/20 is amended by adding “and Service Providers Providing Intervenor Services” at the end.

2. Section 1 of Schedule 1 to the Regulation is amended by adding the following subsection:

(2) For the purposes of this Order, an “intervenor service provider” is a transfer payment recipient funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services that provides intervenor services for persons who are deafblind.

3. Section 2 of Schedule 1 to the Regulation is amended by striking out “Every service agency” at the beginning and substituting “Every service agency and every intervenor service provider”.

4. (1) Section 3 of Schedule 1 to the Regulation is amended by adding “and intervenor service providers” after “service agencies” in the portion before paragraph 1.

(2) Subparagraph 1 i of section 3 of Schedule 1 to the Regulation is amended by adding “or intervenor service provider” after “service agency”.

(3) Paragraph 3 of section 3 of Schedule 1 to the Regulation is amended by adding “or intervenor service provider” after “service agency” at the end.

5. Section 4 of Schedule 1 to the Regulation is amended by adding “or intervenor service provider” after “service agency”.

6. Section 7 of Schedule 1 to the Regulation is revoked and the following substituted:

Compliance with Health Protection and Promotion Act

7. Despite anything in this Order, service agencies and intervenor service providers shall comply with any order or directive issued under the Health Protection and Promotion Act as it relates to a service agency or intervenor service provider, as the case may be.
